Prologis employees, customers and vendors gathered together in the spirit of community service at the 2018 Annual Prologis Race. This year, 800 runners laced up their running shoes to give back to their community.
Held at Ecological Xochitla Park, event options included a 3-kilometer walk and 5- and 10-kilometer races. A true team effort, this year’s race raised $73,000 from sponsors, as well as $46,000 through the work of Prologis Mexico employees, who organized both an art auction and sale of furniture and other equipment from the Santa Fe office, and a $90,000 donation from Prologis.
Funds raised will go to the construction of a clinic in Tepotzotlán and to Ecological Xochitla Park.
Luis Gutiérrez, Prologis’ president for Latin America and a race participant said, “This race was a huge success, with the biggest participation to-date. Programs like this strengthen our relationships with our communities, and I’m happy to say that part of the proceeds will go toward building a clinic in an underserved area that does not have access to health services. We are very proud of this effort and hope to see even more participants next year.”
Prologis thanks all of the participants, employees and sponsors (Global Engineering Group, Construcciones Corporativas Integrales, Arquitectura Habitacional (ABITAT), Construcciones Especializadas 2000, Copachisa,Deloitte. Ganna Suministros and MIDI) for their help raising funds for these important causes.
